Islamabad, Oct 14: Arabian Sea Depression at 1060km southwest of Karachi PMD
According to a study from PMD, the Arabian Sea Depression is currently located in the central Arabian Sea, roughly 1060 kilometers southwest of Karachi, at latitude 15.6N and longitude 64.8E.
Over the past twelve hours, the depression has traveled west-northwest and is currently situated 1080 kilometers south of Ormara and 1110 km southeast of Gwadar.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s cyclone warning center in Karachi stated that the system is expected to continue moving west-northwestward and eventually reach the coast of Oman.
For the following two days, there will probably be squally winds around the center of the system with gusts of 30 to 40 km/h.
It has been suggested to fishermen to use caution and stay out of the deep water.
This system has not posed any threat to any part of Pakistan’s coastline. The statement states that PMD’s cyclone warning center is keeping an eye on the system and will provide updates.
As suggested by Qatar, this system will be called “Dana” if it turns into a storm.
Monday’s weather in the majority of Sindh’s districts is expected to be hot and dry. However, there is a chance that Hyderabad, Karachi, Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Umarkot, Mithi, Badin, Thatta, Sujawal, and the surrounding areas will see gusty winds, dust storms, and showers along with thunderstorms in certain locations.
On Tuesday (tomorrow), the majority of these places are also expected to see rain, thunder, and windstorms
