Islamabad, Oct 15: Honda Recalls Civic, HR-V, and CR-V Models Over Steering Defect. Nearly 1.7 million vehicles, including several of Acura’s and Honda’s well-known models, are affected by the company’s latest major recall. This recall, which involves vehicles up to the 2025 model year, is the result of a steering system issue, and it comes shortly after another recall concerning a seatbelt issue in the HR-V.

What’s the Problem?
The steering worm gear’s manufacturing flaw and improper installation are the root of the issue. A problem with the lubrication of the steering system resulted from the worm gear spring’s poor quality and incorrect installation.

It becomes more difficult to control these cars as the grease inside the steering box thins out. Affected cars include the Honda Recalls Civic, Civic Hybrid, Civic Type R, Acura Integra and Integra Type S, HR-V, and CR-V.

How the Automobiles Will Be Repaired
Acura and Honda have laid up a solution. To lessen the extra strain on the steering system, dealerships will install a new worm gear spring. To guarantee that steering performance returns to normal, they will also repack the steering gearbox with new grease or disperse the old grease.
