Islamabad, Oct 19: Snapdragon 8 Elite Outperforms iPhone 16 Pro with Record-Breaking Benchmark Scores

On Monday, Qualcomm is expected to unveil its newest flagship processor. Even before its official release, the Snapdragon 8 Elite—previously known as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4—is creating a stir with its preliminary benchmark results.

A Realme GT7 Pro prototype’s leaked benchmark score has surfaced, demonstrating the chipset’s remarkable powers. On the AnTuTu test platform, the device apparently got an astounding 3,025,991 points, setting a new performance record.

This score significantly outpaces competitors in the mobile processor arena. Apple’s A18 Pro, for instance, typically scores around 1.65 million points. Similarly, MediaTek’s recently introduced Dimensity 9400 chipset, which had previously reached approximately 2.8 million points, falls short of the Snapdragon 8 Elite’s reported performance.

There are rumors that the next Snapdragon 8 Elite processor from Qualcomm would come in two different variants. According to reports, the standard model has six efficiency cores operating at 2.78 GHz in addition to two high-performance cores that can go up to 4.09 GHz. A premium edition is said to increase the high-performance cores to 4.32 GHz for customers looking for even more power.

It is anticipated that both chipset versions would use TSMC’s advanced 3nm manufacturing process to integrate the Adreno 830 GPU. The efficiency and general performance of the CPU could be greatly enhanced by this sophisticated procedure.

Apart from its impressive AnTuTu ratings, the chipset is said to have done remarkably well in Geekbench tests. These initial results imply that the newest product from Qualcomm might mark a significant advancement in mobile processing power.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is anticipated to be introduced in phones by Xiaomi 15 and Honor Magic 7, with other Chinese OEMs likely to release similar phones soon after.
