Islamabad, Oct 11: CDC’s Investor Weekend 2024 Set to Enhance Investor Education
The Central Depository Company (CDC), in association with prominent AMCs and brokerage houses in Pakistan, has arranged a three-day event called “Investor Weekend 2024” at Dolmen Mall Clifton, Karachi, from October 11 to 13, 2024, with the approval and direction of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
In honor of World Investor Week 2024, which is a worldwide campaign by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) to promote investor safety and education, CDC has particularly planned this event.
Mujtaba Ahmad Lodhi, Commissioner SECP, Farrukh H. Sabzwari, Chairman CDC, Badiuddin Akber, CEO CDC, and representatives of leading asset management firms, stock brokerage firms, and other financial organizations will all preside over the event’s opening.
A capital market participation led by CDC and SECP, along with prominent asset management companies and brokerage houses, will be showcased throughout the ground floor arena of Dolmen Mall Clifton.
These entities will render their expertise and use their experiences to educate the public in order to enable them to make safer investment decisions ensuring the promotion of investment culture in the Pakistan market.
The program by CDC known as the Investor weekend 2024 seeks to empower individuals’ investors with relevant information to make sound decisions.
A great number of workshops and presentations of key issues related to investment activities, measures to minimize risks, approaches to building an effective investment portfolio for beginners and experienced investors will be presented at the event.
The information on recent financial market trends will be presented to the participants, and they will be taught how to manage the issues of investing today.
